GUTTER CLEANING IN PERSHORE
Gutter Cleaning in Pershore
Three storey Georgian frontages, modern estates and the villages of the Vale
Pershore asks two quite different things of a gutter clearance. On the High Street there are three storey Georgian houses with cast iron guttering and a pavement where a ladder would have to stand. Out in the villages there are homes surrounded by farmland and mature trees whose gutters fill faster than anyone expects. We do both.
Three storeys, and a pavement out the front
We clear the gutters on several of the Georgian houses along Pershore High Street, and they are among the more demanding jobs we do. Three storeys is right at the limit of what a pole will reach. The front of the building opens straight onto the pavement, so there is nowhere to stand a ladder or a tower even if it were sensible to try. And the guttering is often original cast iron, which is heavier and more brittle than anything modern.
This is precisely the sort of property a one van operation has to turn down. We own a vehicle mounted access platform reaching twenty metres, operated by a qualified IPAF operator, so height and a busy frontage are a matter of planning rather than a reason to say no.
Trees, farmland and the villages of the Vale
Eckington, Defford, Croome and Wyre Piddle are lovely places to live and hard on guttering. Open farmland carries a great deal into a gutter, and mature trees do the rest. Village properties fill considerably faster than a house on an estate in the middle of town, and the owners are usually the last to know, because nobody can see into a gutter from the garden.
The newer estates around Newlands and the edges of town are altogether more straightforward, with modern PVC guttering that our vacuum handles easily.
No waiting for a round to come past
Gutter clearance is not run on a round the way window cleaning is. It is booked as a job, so we fit you in rather than waiting for a van to be in your part of the world. If your gutters are overflowing now, that matters more than it sounds.
Clearance, and cleaning, are not the same thing
Ask for gutter cleaning and nine times out of ten you mean clearance, which is getting the moss and leaves out so the water goes where it should. That is what protects the walls. Washing the outside of the gutters, fascias and soffits is a separate job that makes a house look smarter but does nothing for the fabric. Have both if you like. Have the clearance regardless.
How we work
A gutter vacuum on a telescopic pole with a camera at the top, worked from the ground wherever it is safe to do so. Where a building will not allow that, ladders, a scaffold tower or the access platform. Afterwards, a PDF report with photographs of your gutters before and after, plus anything we noticed while we were up there.

Trusted in Pershore
We clear the gutters for Cleese Ltd, and for several of the Georgian properties along the High Street, alongside homes throughout the town and the villages of the Vale.
Every member of our team is directly employed by Cannins, fully trained, uniformed and insured. We are IPAF accredited for powered access and SafeContractor approved, and we hold five million pounds of public liability cover.
How often should Pershore gutters be cleared?
Once a year at minimum, in autumn, after the leaves are down and before the winter rain. Every six months where the roof carries a lot of moss or there are trees close by. In the villages around Pershore, with farmland on the doorstep and mature trees about, six monthly is often the sensible choice.
Common questions
My house is three storeys and opens onto the pavement. Can you do it?
Yes. We already clear several like it on Pershore High Street. Our access platform reaches twenty metres and is operated by a qualified IPAF operator, so a tall frontage with no room for a ladder is a matter of planning rather than a refusal.
Can you clear cast iron guttering?
Regularly. Much of the older property in Pershore still has its original cast iron, which is heavier and more brittle than PVC and wants handling accordingly.
Do you cover the villages?
Eckington, Defford, Croome, Wyre Piddle and throughout the Vale. If you are near Pershore, do ask.
How soon can you come?
Gutter clearance is booked as a job rather than run on a round, so we fit you in as soon as we have space. Autumn is our busiest period, so if you know your gutters need doing, it is worth asking early.
Can you do the windows too?
Very gladly, and we are taking on new window cleaning customers in Pershore. Read about our window cleaning in Pershore.
